Why the crap is Entourage still getting nominations for anything. I don't get it.

Yeah.  Also: no Up for Best Picture. :(

The choices are pretty populist but I still have a feeling that the Oscars will skew dramatic before they allow blockbusters into the Best Picture race.  I would imagine A Single Man, A Serious Man, An Education, The Messenger, Crazy Heart, Inviticus, The Lovely Bones, Brothers, etc. all making their way in before The Hangover, Star Trek, Avatar, Up, It's Complicated, Julie & Julia, Inglourious Basterds, etc.  I highly doubt that 10 nominees is going to open it up as much as people think it will.
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

a serious man is getting no love from any awards organization.
avatar and inglorious basterds however, are getting plenty.

Falling in love is the greatest joy in life. Followed closely by sneaking into a gated community late at night and firing a gun into the air.

Stefen

Did they televise Best Actor? I must have missed it.

Shitty ass choices for best whatever.

Kal

These shows get worse every year.

I was pleased with the winners though. Pretty much all of them, even Jeff Bridges but I didn't see the movie.

I liked the tribute to Marty.

Robert Downey Jr. should have hosted the show and given the speeches for all the winners.

polkablues

I didn't actually watch the show, I just caught the highlights.  I liked when Ricky Gervais told a joke about Paul McCartney's divorce and the crowd reacted like he had just taken a shit on Anne Frank's diary.  Really, people?
My house, my rules, my coffee

haha he called them on it saying : ''Well, don't feel THAT sorry for him, he's doing alright''

Gamblour.

Aside from the obvious wins of Monique and Christophe Waltz, I could really give a shit about these awards. I do wish I could just watch Gervais' best lines on one video, since I missed it.
WWPTAD?

A good year for Sandra Bullock so far! Best Actress at the People's Choice and again here! Well, with cream of the crop scripts that she always picks, what else do you expect. Has she made a single bad movie in the last 10 years?
