Co-produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures, the film's North American rights are held by Cinelicious, which worked with digital rights aggregator Film Karavan and the film's producer Guneet Monga on the Netflix deal which has acquired worldwide rights. The series will stream on Netflix in the first week of December subtitled in English, Spanish, French, Arabic and Chinese.
Watch it in at most 2 sittings.
Released theatrically in the US this year, so it's technically this year in film in xixax time.

yeah i did say that.
it's massive. both its narrative and its sense of cinema are massive. and they hit the ground running, they do. the very beginning demonstrates the movie isn't about just what you're seeing, but how you see it, how it feels, how it blossoms.
and because of that when i liked one thing then there was another, within a context of life as a narrative. for example it's not that life is in crime, it's that crime is in life. which is the richer path for deeper characters.
and it has all these characters involved. and all their moment together. me liking a movie with guns and outrageous bad behavior impresses me. Scorsese liking Kashyap is cosmic through similar forces attracting each other. demonstrated too by The Wolf of Wall Street, which i was less impressed by than Gangs of Wasseypur, art bad is agreed upon as explicit in our times, and explicit wrongdoing is a way of dropping a romantic veneer for problem causing. but here you get to take The Wolf of Wall Street and turn it into a movie about family and crime. put together Goodfellas and The Wolf of Wall Street.
so, the violence in this movie isn't often ingrained into narrative fabric. the violence isn't helping sew together a theme. which makes the brutal look brutal to me.
plus there are all these things outside the crime and violence. i think the movie has wonderful little moments, and i think they do even the little moments right. plus there are musical interludes that help with the movie's emotional melody. like Nashville.
so you put together Goodfellas and The Wolf of Wall Street and Nashville, The Godfather trilogy, plus other things i'm not mentioning.
honestly this is me performing a condensation. so a problem for my day's time is all the time i could spend talking about this movie and the things i like about it. which is the sign of a good movie.
