This guy did "This Boy's Life", "Rob Roy" and "Memphis Belle".
This are all great films, but nobody mentions him.
Any thoughts or opinions?

Sorry, I wouldn't call any of them great.
It's like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is none. None more black.

What, no mention of "Doc Hollywood"? That movie struck a soft spot in me. The slow dancing scene with Patsy Kline's "Crazy" playing and all the people dissolving away except the two of them is beautifully done.

all i can remember about that is being young, loving michael j fox and being awestruck by the unexpected nudity of that movie.
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.
