BOOooo!
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

All I can say is that if The Good Shepherd can't even get any Golden Globe nominations, it must really suck. That horrible score for DaVinci Code even got a nod!

I did not have time to process which ones were left out... like The Good Sheperd, The Good German, (which I havent seen anyhow) etc.

However, the first impression makes me real happy for several reasons

- Borat 1, 2 knock out punch... best movie and best actor.
- The Departed and Leo getting 2 nominations. Hopefully he wins.
- Masi Oka getting supporting actor for Heroes.
- Mark Wahlberg!
- Evangelline Lily for Lost, although I would have liked if Mathew Fox or even Sawyer got one.
- The Office, Steve Carrel, Entourage in the TV comedy. Also Jeremy Piven again.
- For all the Over the Hedge fans, I'm happy its NOT there. It was boring as hell.

I dont know... my first reaction is good... I probably will start remembering about certain films that should be there and are not, but for now its cool.

matt35mm

Sure, there are a couple of good nominations in there, but overall, I give it a boo.

So, BOO!

That oughta scare the rest of the awards shows into giving better nominations.

The Perineum Falcon

I'm glad I don't have television so I have another reason not to watch this.
We often went to the cinema, the screen would light up and we would tremble, but also, increasingly often, Madeleine and I were disappointed. The images had dated, they jittered, and Marilyn Monroe had gotten terribly old. We were sad, this wasn't the film we had dreamed of, this wasn't the total film that we all carried around inside us, this film that we would have wanted to make, or, more secretly, no doubt, that we would have wanted to live.

A Matter Of Chance

Yeah! Now Bobby can follow in the footsteps of Crash!

i think Babel would be more like Crash actually.

all i know is clint eastwood could take a shit in a bag, light it, film it, make two movies out of it, and still get two best director noms. just seems odd to give him 2 noms when neither pic gets one.

glad for marky mark and weeds though!

the one last hit that spent you...

Gamblour.

Fuck, I'm just happy Adriana Barraza got a nomination. But where is Hugh Jackman's nom for the Fountain?
WWPTAD?

bonanzataz

i find it funny that two of the foreign language film nominations are american made films. hooray for nationalism!
