"ON THE DEATH OF A RECENT GRADUATE"

First part of the "Thoughts in My Head and the Things Around Me" series, the aim of which is to capture and share the thoughts and images that surround me at particular moments of my life. At the very least, it might be useful in that I can look back on it someday and think, "Wow, what an idiot."

I hope you'll check out the video and enjoy it. It's a bit of a meditation on life and death paired with images from my day-to-day life.

My plan is to continue doing this every few weeks, which should hopefully be especially interesting as I start traveling. Hopefully I will actually stick with it, because I really need to keep practicing and producing new work if I want to improve as a filmmaker.  If you don't like this one, maybe you'll like the future ones!

I made this video because I had a pent up need to make something, and I stumbled upon some footage that I shot in the mountains in Norway last summer.  It's very short and simple (1 minute, 30 seconds), but I like it, and so here it is:



It's as simple as it gets: two girls do the dishes, and then they relax.
