Paramount has revealed that they'll debut a Mission: Impossible 10th Anniversary Special Collector's Edition on 4/11. It'll be a single-disc set, but there's no word yet on the extras.

did anyone buy Dumb and Dumber?
just wondered how the extras are.
Yup.  The extras aren't bad, but nothing all that great.  You get the history of it, how difficult it was to finance, the casting of Carrey and Daniels (it reminded me how WEIRD a concept that was, since it has felt natural to me after all this time), and a retrospective look at its success.  A couple of interesting deleted scenes, including a whole subplot that was removed.

The actual extra scenes in the movie aren't that great, but eh, whatever.  If you like Dumb and Dumber, it's worth buying.

yea, i've been holding out to upgrade Dumb And Dumber and Mission: Impossible from VHS.  so looks like now/soon is the time.
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

I think it would be funny if this were somehow the "good cut."

Haggis on the DVD Introduction: "Oh Jesus, you weren't supposed to see that first cut.  We cut it as a joke and the studio released it!  I feel so awful, especially with all these awards... and now with the Oscars..." and then two months from now, after having won the best screenplay Oscar, Paul Haggis commits suicide.
