This isn't exactly a Paul Thomas Anderson topic but Luis is a regular in his films so ... In case you didn't know, Luis has a show on Fox this fall aptly titled "Luis". It'll air on Fridays at 8:30 (brutal time slot). Here's the premise:
The proud owner of a Spanish Harlem donut shop and the landlord of the building its in must deal with an eccentric cast of characters, including: an obnoxious elderly woman in a rent-controlled apartment, a delivery boy who swears he was a cardiologist back in China, a kid who harasses customers to buy items found in dumpster, his ex-wife and a daughter whose only flaw is her free-loading boyfriend.
Doesn't sound too bad but with that time slot I don't like the show's chances regardless of the quality.
this could be the puerto rican seinfeld
Well, if it's any good Fox will cancel it within 2 seasons.
this shit sounds stoopid, just the same old stereotypical racial difference bullshit sitcom theyve been churning out for decades.
luis' gotta get outta this somehow. maybe he should call paul to write another donut shop scene.
Guzman's made worse choices. Taking a role in 'Dumb & Dumberer' for example.

Heh-heh.
I am the love child of Luis Guzman and somebody else.
Luis Guzman looks like a gorilla.
He looks like a person I once knew, named Carlos Vera.
Luis Guzman will star as Carlos Vera in the Untitled Brainsusi Picture
Sex and sushi?

What about ABC's "Threat Matrix" with Melora Walters?

Our nation is a target. Al-Qaeda and other deadly enemies are determined to destroy our way of life. An attack could come at any time, from anywhere around the globe.
Against this rising threat, the Homeland Security Agency has created a highly specialized, elite task force trained and equipped to counter anyone or anything that threatens our nation. The head of this super-secret team is Special Agent John Kilmer. He reports only to the President and has authority to call upon the technical skills, firepower, and specialist agents of the FBI, CIA and NSA.
Working with cutting-edge technology – and vast stores of chutzpah – this clandestine team fights the many faces of terror to keep America safe. The one wrinkle in Kilmer's dream-team is his ex-wife, Frankie. She's as beautiful as she is fearless and lethal. Together they've averted disasters of all kinds, except their marriage.
With stories ripped from headlines, Threat Matrix is a drama with a ticking clock in an arena as deep and complex as today's world.

That sounds pretty crappy. Has a pilot-episode been made?

Not only that, it's already on their Thursday night line-up.
I think I'd rather watch Cabin Boy

I can't wait until the episode of "Threat Matrix" in which all of the secret agents, befuddled in their attempts to thwart the terrorists, start singing "Wise Up"

...or when Melora Walters, in an attempt at sabotage, gets everyone hooked on cocaine, one by one.
Or the side-splitting episode in which guest star Don Cheadle plays Melora's ex-husband, Buck. Hilarity ensues when Melora tries to hide the fact that she worked in the "adult entertainment" business before turning to a career in national security.

don't forget... all while playin' her music past 12 clicks, a cocaine binge and a clumsy cop for a date.
Fox, after four episodes, has pulled the plug on its new Friday night laffer "Luis". Reruns of Wanda at Large will air in its place
