haha I'm glad none of you have said anything about this movie. I dont know why I let the trailer annoy me so much. I have to let out an "ughhhh" whenever I see that stupid head. is this a documentary about arcade fire?

Nope. It's just a terrible movie that tries too hard to be quirky and, in my opinion, fails miserably. Seriously, I don't understand the raves it's getting by critics. Yes, it's unusual, but it is also very bad, maybe the worst movie I saw this year.

Disagree.

It's a good film which has its issues. What struck you as "quirky" and tryhard was just a portrayal of what constituted artistic authenticity for the people in that band. The only person who's trying to go for a dishonest quirkiness is the new guy but the joke was always on him right from the first scene.

It does fail in the last third or so because it betrays the spirit that it established upto that point by becoming so disappointingly conventional. But I have a lot of good memories from this movie so I can easily recommend that everyone give this a try.

I don't know what to say. I just remember not a frame of it feeling honest at all, the drama didn't work as I felt nothing for anybody that was on screen, and the comedy never made me laugh at all. Sorry I can't be more specific but I saw this about a month ago and I hardly remember anything from it  :yabbse-sad:

I hated this movie, and thought it a really poor and humourless tribute to Frank Sidebottom.
