Heaven...i don't get the ending (SPOILERS)

SPOILERS

So, blanchett and giovanni fly up really high in the sky and then it goes black....am i that lame that i don't get what it means?  I know it references the beginning when he says 'how high can i fly'...but ....
I'm going to lay down a monster hand here.

They commit suiced. Remember the beginning when Gio is in the simulator? He takes the chopper up too high...

It's an allegorical and/or literal transcendence (perhaps- PERHAPS- through suicide) of what's going on below... "heaven" as opposed to "earth." Very Kieslowski. I loved this movie, and thought the ending was really beautiful.
