in the tradition of obscure comic book characters making it to the screen before known ones....

RULE NUMBER ONE: when making a movie based on a comic book.  dont fuck with your source material.  whatever little fanbase this book has, is now goign to be pissed off because they changed everything about the character that makes him who he is.
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

I gotta admit, the previews for this film make it look pretty fucking cool. I was a fan of the comic growing up but havent read an issue in years. Not since the  Garth Ennis days, but I think it looks cool.
Falling in love is the greatest joy in life. Followed closely by sneaking into a gated community late at night and firing a gun into the air.
