OK, I have a confession to make:

I have a disease:
being a total fan of Australian cult ensemble Dead Can Dance. I just can't do without their moody, dark music....

Lisa Gerrard was, together with Brendan Perry, their lead singer/ songwriter.

Gerrard is (especially by the film public/ fans) of course best known for her soundtrack work: Gladiator, Ali, Whale Rider...
The real music fans will probably know her mainly because of her DCD/ solo-work.

Good music, but her solo-work is even better: Duality, The Mirror Pool...

And her work with DCD is simply the best she's ever done!

Does anybody got something to say about her work AND about Dead Can Dance?
Like it, or maybe not?

Still no reflections on Gerrard's work?

Nobody knows Dead Can Dance?

The first Lisa Gerrard track I rememer hearing was the opening music of The Insider.  I later listened to some other stuff she did, and it is pretty good.

Dead Can Dance were brilliant.  I am still lusting over the recent DVD they issued.
