It was never an emoticon, Sphinx pioneered it into one.

I approve of this.  :yabbse-thumbup:

True. It was a post (not message) emoticon - which this board doesn't have (among other things)...

Here's a miniature guide for anyone needing a yabbse smiley conversion primer (to promote use of the classic smileys). For all other smileys, the new ones are good enough, I believe.

Quote from: XixaxI need to try to find a way to join SAG or something so that I can vote in the Oscars and get all those free screeners every year. Yeah!

Just for clarification: SAG members don't vote on the Oscars; Oscars are for members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (AMPAS) while SAG is the Screen Actors Guild and is a union. In order to be an Academy member, one has to be at least nominated or voted in by three (?) other members. SAG members only vote on the SAG awards, but in order to get all the free screeners, etc., you have to be randomly selected in the SAG Nominating Committee and basically do the same with our awards nominations. But if you work on three union jobs or get a speaking part and pay the $1300 initiation fee, you too can be a member, MW.

...Unless the good film also happened to be full of titties.

"and what would these titties do?"
"I don't know... Jiggle?"
"OH MY GOD!  Write this man a check!  WOO!!!  Jigglin' titties, who'd a thunk it?"

I've kinda slowed down in my DVD acquisistion...I've only got about 150. Some of these lists are making me really jealous.  Ah well, that's the price for spending money on film equipment.

Does anyone know where to buy lots of DVDs cheap?
The length of a film should be directly related to the endurance of the human bladder.
