David Lynch Presents his 121-part 'Interview Project': An EW exclusive

On June 1, legendary movie-maker David Lynch (Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, Inland Empire) will present Interview Project, a 121-part documentary series featuring 3-5 minute portraits of a ordinary (and sometimes extraordinary) Americans from all over the country.

Commissioned by Lynch, and compiled by a team of filmmakers who criss-crossed the states gathering dozens of personal histories, the series -- to be premiered every three days throughout the year until next June -- is available only at interviewproject.davidlynch.com, but you'll find an exclusive first look at the very Lynchian project -- introduced by the man himself -- only here at ew.com. Lynch's 'Project' gets NYC premiere
Interview series to run at IFC Center

The David Lynch-presented "Interview Project" will have its bigscreen premiere at the IFC Center in New York. Six of the approximately five-minute interview segments will run in front of IFC's regular programming for two weeks each through Feb. 18. On June 1, the one-year anniversary of the previously online-only project, IFC will run some of the shorts, including one submitted by a "Project" viewer and chosen by directors Austin Lynch and Jason S.
