Macaulay Culkin Released After Drug Arrest

Former child star Macaulay Culkin was arrested on drug charges Friday during a traffic stop, authorities said. The 24-year-old actor, best known for his role in the "Home Alone" movies, was taken into custody on complaints of possession of a controlled dangerous substance without a valid prescription and possession of marijuana, according to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office.

Culkin, who lives in New York City, was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail and released after posting $4,000 bond, a jailer said.

Authorities confiscated about 17 grams of marijuana from a vehicle in which Culkin was a passenger. Officers also found 16 milligrams of prescription medications used to control anxiety and seizures, according to a police report.

Culkin was in a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old New York City man who was stopped for driving 70 mph in a 60-mph speed zone and for making an improper lane change. After receiving a verbal warning, the driver allowed police to search the vehicle.

Culkin told an officer there was $3,000 in a bag on the floor of the car. The officer opened it and found a clear baggie of what appeared to be marijuana, the report said.

A short time later, Culkin allegedly pulled another baggie out of his pocket that contained white pills and other medication. Additional marijuana was found rolled in a metal cigarette box, according to the report.

It was not clear whether Culkin had a lawyer. It also was not clear why Culkin was in Oklahoma City.

Hmm... First impulse: So what, the kid smokes pot.
Second impulse: but prescription drugs?!
Third impulse: Jesus, god, mother fuck, shit, balls, tits and ass... say it isn't so!  I actually enjoy this guy and I don't want him to end up in drug addled, post-movie-stardom oblivion.
Classic.

'Terminator 2' Actor Arrested

Edward Furlong's ploy to free some lobsters from their tank landed the actor in jail. He was arrested Wednesday night on a misdemeanor charge of alcohol intoxication in a public place in this northern Kentucky city.

Furlong, who appeared in "Terminator 2" and "American History X," spent about 1 1/2 hours in the Boone County jail before his release.

The animal-rights supporter and vegetarian was arrested after he and some friends removed lobsters from a tank at a Meijer grocery store. Furlong argued with store managers, who then called police, according to his arrest citation.

Furlong was unsteady on his feet, his speech was slurred and his breath smelled of alcohol, the citation said.

His arraignment is set for Oct. 1 in Boone County District Court.

Furlong is in the area to shoot his latest film, "Jimmy & Judy."

Actor Josh Brolin Arrested for Battery

Actor Josh Brolin was cited for misdemeanor domestic battery over the weekend after his wife, actress Diane Lane, called police during an argument at the couple's home.

Brolin, the son of actor James Brolin and stepson of Barbra Streisand, was arrested around 3 a.m. Sunday and released on $20,000 bail, Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the city attorney's office, said Monday.

The city attorney is reviewing the case and no charges have been filed, he said. Domestic battery is a misdemeanor, Mateljan said.

Kelly Bush, the couple's spokeswoman, said the incident was a "misunderstanding" and the couple had reconciled.

Brolin and Lane were married in an August ceremony on Brolin's ranch north of Los Angeles. Lane, 39, the star of "Unfaithful" and "Under the Tuscan Sun," had been engaged to Brolin, 36, since 2002

Yeah.  Ain't nobody can touch Ms. Lane like that.  Other women?  Sure, beat em, but NOT Diane Lane!

Lindsay Lohan Sued Over L.A. Car Crash

"Mean Girls" actress Lindsay Lohan was sued Wednesday by two people who claim she injured them in a traffic accident last year.

The personal injury suit was filed in Superior Court on behalf of Eddie Pamilton and Ilex Harris. They claim the actress was driving in Studio City on Aug. 3 when she struck Pamilton's vehicle, leaving the pair with continuing "pain, discomfort and physical disability."

The suit seeks unspecified damages and compensation for medical expenses, lost earnings and income.

Lohan, 18, recently released her debut album, "Speak," and has starred in "Parent Trap," "Mean Girls," "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" and "Freaky Friday."

The suit is only part of the teen's legal woes. Lohan's father responded Wednesday to his estranged wife's filing of divorce papers, saying he wants half of the 15 percent the movie starlet allegedly gives her mother a figure that could be as much as $6-$7 million a year.

Michael Lohan also said he wants Dina Lohan and other members of her family to undergo drug and alcohol testing and claimed that despite past problems with substance abuse, he is currently clean and sober.

"He is not an alcoholic, he is not a drug addict," attorney Dominic Barbara said at a press conference at his office on Long Island. "He loves his children, he doesn't want to hurt Lindsay in any way."

Barbara, whose high-profile clients have included Joey Buttafuoco and church secretary Jessica Hahn, said he called the press conference after being rebuffed by Dina Lohan's attorneys about a possible divorce settlement.

"I think these people are very foolish not wanting to talk," Barbara said.

He contended his client is entitled to half of the earnings the actress-singer gives to her mother.

Barbara said he also represents Lohan in a number of criminal prosecutions.

He is due in court in Suffolk County next week to answer charges from last summer that he allegedly skipped out on a $3,800 bill for several suites at a posh Long Island hotel. He also was charged with assault in Manhattan for allegedly swearing at a sanitation worker whose truck was blocking his car and punching him in the face.

"I tried to do this amicably," Lohan said at Wednesday's press conference. "I didn't want this to happen."

Dan Klores, a spokesman for Dina Lohan, said, "There's no point in dignifying the desires of a convicted felon who the court has already demanded stay away from his wife and children."

Thats what she gets for getting involved with someone like Dusty Hoffman. Three big body parts do not mix.
Falling in love is the greatest joy in life. Followed closely by sneaking into a gated community late at night and firing a gun into the air.

cine

oh well, at least she's still producing that Dustin Hoffman movie..
