Scorsese pays homage to Clementine's loop?

In the Aviator there's this dreadful dreary instrumental 40s tune that Scorsese uses for various scenes. One in particular is the scene after Hughes breaks up with Hepburne and burns all his clothes. I may be reaching here, but that song to me has the same tone and pace to it. It's like Clementine's Loop 1940s style. Can anyone else see the connection?

Interesting thought, pretty far fetched but I could see what you are talking about.
The Beatles know Jesus Christ has returned to Earth and is in Los Angeles.

It's Artie Shaw's "Nightmare." There's no connection.
