Title: COCO
Post by: Alexandro on March 07, 2018, 01:01:04 AM
Didn't find a thread for Coco, but  I sincerely believe it deserves it.

Look, the film is amazing as a whole, but honestly the script is way too good. When I saw it, I remember thinking that the screenplay was so good that if this was a live action film in a completely different context, the film would still be awesome.

Pixar has been a dicey proposition lately, but this movie was a solid home run, don't you think? Hard to not tear up to it.

I'm leaning towards it's Pixar's best. I've cried both times I've seen it. An utterly beautiful film. Lee Unkrich said of the film that Pixar don't make films for children, they just make sure their films are kid-appropriate. That's definitely the case here. And it's a musical!
