The reply I got said "no recording equipment."  You can take that to mean what you want, but I'm pretty sure still cameras are allowed.  They may say no flash photography, but I'm sure that after the Q&A, he'll likely be taking pictures and signing autographs and such, similar to the David Lynch Q&A at UC-Irvine a few months back.

I definitely plan to get some pictures.

thats a shame.  i heard good things about Hard Eight.
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

It was Paul Thomas Anderson's first feature film although I heard he often refers to it as "Sydney".  I'm not exactly sure why... I will definitely be asking him about it on Thursday night.  I also want to know about that cool song he uses in all his films and what the frogs meant in Magnolia.  It should be a great night!
