Cool I'll check it out, thanks for the recommendation. Shindo made a movie called Ningen (Human) (1962) that I saw a clip from and that thing looked really interesting. The movie is generally unavailable and I can't find the clip again -- it was on vimeo and seems to be gone now. Meaning to say you're probably right.

I'm excited for the bottom two, as well. Been wanting to know where this image came from forever:

precode, yay. some of my favs. can't remember if i already said that a couple weeks ago i watched a few with mentionable names; wanna mention right now '29's the letter w/jeanne eagles. wonderful actress and a lightning bolt irl story. movie was great too btw, some sound missing but from 29 so no big deal

Redemption Films Acquires Five Alain Robbe-Grillet Films
via blu-ray.com

Redemption Films has announced that it has acquired five films by acclaimed French writer and director Alain Robbe-Grillet: Trans-Europe-Express (1967), The Man Who Lies (1968), Eden and After (1970) and Slow Slidings of Pleasure! (1974). Also included as an extra with Eden and After is the film's alternate version N Take the Dice (1971).

Redemption Films is yet to announce preliminary U.S. release dates for Blu-ray releases of the five Alain Robbe-Grillet films.

Second Sight planning to release Jean-Jacques Annaud's Quest for Fire (1981) on blu-ray. I love this film -- if memory serves me, the entire thing plays out almost completely without dialogue.
