Sigur Ros' Takk will most likely find it's way into my top 10 with more listens...

Well then why not just put it there?

Man, all my posts start with "well"....you see that alot more often.

I'd put it there but I don't know where to put it yet, since I haven't heard it as much as the others on the top 10.

Also...

I'm trying to find where to fit the new Mos Def album.

1.  Fiona Apple - Extraordinary Machine

2. Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth

those two are still the most disappointing albums of the year. they are invalidatingly BAD!

I forgot to switch NIN with AYWKUBTTOD (NIN being 7th, AYWKUBTTOD being 2nd)  Otherwise, Fiona still remains on top.

I'm not ashamed to admit... I really liked the album.

With Teeth was a huge dissapointment. It was supposed to be the biggest album of the year and it felt more like a thud. I'm not a big nin fan, i think Trent Reznor is a little too "look at me, i mope man, i mope real bad...then i cut ya! Okay, are we still rolling?" for me. But I do give every nin album a chance just cause I want to like them. I think I'm gonna give up though.

I really like the album, but some of it does seem contrived. In my opinion, it's also a step back from "The Fragile". I don't mind all of the angry-sad stuff but it gets old in large doses. Makes for a white-knuckle drive home. :-D

Pubrick

it's a step back beyond anything they've ever done. a friend described it perfectly as "at best, sumthing Marylin Manson should be doing".. a mediocre nin. no AMAZING moments at all. sorry but it's quite clear that NIN are plenty capable of blowing minds, the fragile had filler but it held the album together, it enhanced mood and created sumthing greater than the sum of its parts. downward spiral was just all round fantastic, every song engineered to hit u where it hurts (good).

i don't know anything about music, as in the name given to like when a little tune is reprised and played with different instruments, a motif? well all his albums had little bits of experimentation like that, it was brilliant, it was exciting. With Teeth is OBVIOUSLY his most radio-friendly effort, it is not challenging, no song goes anywhere and the whole album leaves u where u started -- waiting for sumthing to happen.

it feels like a means to a fiscally stable end. dude's had a rough period, he had to bring SUMTHING out right? i don't blame him for that. he's doing his job, that's all he's doin..
