M. Ward = Awesome.

I was on a mini M. Ward kick after seeing his ACL performance, but I was listening to Hold Time and Monsters of Folk.

i was kinda disappointed with that monsters of folk album... i really liked the first track then it goes downhill fast.
the one last hit that spent you...

Odd, that's one of my least favorites on the album.  There are some great basic tunes and lyrics on that record.

^it's simple and good. The guy has one of the worst voices ever, but the girl sounds sexy and sultry. Can't believe they're only like 19.
Falling in love is the greatest joy in life. Followed closely by sneaking into a gated community late at night and firing a gun into the air.

The Perineum Falcon

Recently was wowed and awed by Elevator to the Gallows, which Miles Davis did the (improvised) score for, and so have been listening to:

We often went to the cinema, the screen would light up and we would tremble, but also, increasingly often, Madeleine and I were disappointed. The images had dated, they jittered, and Marilyn Monroe had gotten terribly old. We were sad, this wasn't the film we had dreamed of, this wasn't the total film that we all carried around inside us, this film that we would have wanted to make, or, more secretly, no doubt, that we would have wanted to live.
