it'll maybe lack nuance but i like the tone. lots of great 70s movies lack nuance but have a strong tone

He held on. The dolphin and all the rest of its pod turned and swam out to sea, and still he held on. This is it, he thought. Then he remembered that they were air-breathers too. It was going to be all right.

i'm anticipating this movie. i think it's going to do the thing wherein movies are like life but better

They Live by Night to Queen & Slim, basically

except on the way here the nearest hit on the same target is 1992's Guncrazy, directed by Tamra Davis who also directed music videos for Depeche Mode The Smiths and Sonic Youth

except now here we are in the future and Queen & Slim is better

it crushes. at least five times it spoils the audience. i cried once okay. i cried twice bit surprised. cried thrice i think the end. the fourth time i cried i mentioned this all in a post to my internet friends. ~"he's nothing out there, but in here he's a king." a hooker describing her pimp

um this movie is written in romance and it's so good! better than i thought it'd be tbh. a tiny movie miracle i liked it
