Weak2ndAct

Well, here comes another case of me horribly shaming... myself.  From www.dvdfile.com:

Debuting on December 16th is the recent indie horror hit Dog Soldiers and the catalog faves The Adventures of Ford Fairlane, Hard Cash, The Pick-Up Artist, Derailed, Greenmail, The Terrorists, Only the Strong and The Circuit. All are priced at a super-low $9.95, and include anamorphic widescreen transfers but, predictably, no extras.

I know we've all got good taste and stuff here, but please tell me I'm not the only one who's got a guilty-pleasure-thang goin' on for Renny Harlin's bomb starring the Diceman?  I used to own the laserdisc, happy to finally see it coming to dvd-- and cheap!

The movie that taught me to swear when I was in grade school! I love it!
Those who say that the totalitarian state of the Soviet Union was not "real" Marxism also cannot admit that one simple feature of Marxism makes totalitarianism necessary:  the rejection of civil society. Since civil society is the sphere of private activity, its abolition and replacement by political society means that nothing private remains. That is already the essence of totalitarianism; and the moralistic practice of the trendy Left, which regards everything as political and sometimes reveals its hostility to free speech, does nothing to contradict this implication.

When those who hated capital and consumption (and Jews) in the 20th century murdered some hundred million people, and the poster children for the struggle against international capitalism and America are now fanatical Islamic terrorists, this puts recent enthusiasts in an awkward position. Most of them are too dense and shameless to appreciate it, and far too many are taken in by the moralistic and paternalistic rhetoric of the Left.

My best friend and I used to watch this on the daily back in elementary school. We rented it and kept it out for a month or so.

Wayne Newton is the greatest bad guy of....well of that film.

"What's your names? Neil and Bob, or is that, like, what you do?"

My assholeness knows no bounds.

Defying the laws of nature and reason, the dvd will actually have extra stuff too:
- Commentary by Renny Harlin
- "Cradle of Love" music video (directed by Mr. Fincher I believe)
- Making-Of
- Trailer
This is the guiltiest pleasure of all time.
