I remember Patti Smith doing a live cover of The Ronettes' "Be My Baby" that was pretty fucking great.

Sleater-Kinney covering Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" live was a revelation, too.
""Money doesn't come into it. It never has. I do what I do because it's all that I am." - Morrissey

"Lacan stressed more and more in his work the power and organizing principle of the symbolic, understood as the networks, social, cultural, and linguistic, into which a child is born. These precede the birth of a child, which is why Lacan can say that language is there from before the actual moment of birth. It is there in the social structures which are at play in the family and, of course, in the ideals, goals, and histories of the parents. This world of language can hardly be grasped by the newborn and yet it will act on the whole of the child's existence."

I like LZ's a lot better.  I seem to be the only person who doesn't think Plant sounds annoying in it.

Yes, to dance beneath the diamond sky with one hand waving free, silhouetted by the sea, circled by the circus sands, with all memory and fate driven deep beneath the waves, let me forget about today until tomorrow.

I do and let me tell you what I believe. I believe that Morpheus means more to me than he does to you. I believe if you are really serious about rescuing him, you are going to need my help. And since I am the ranking officer on this ship, if you don't like it... I believe you can go to hell. Because you're not going anywhere else. Tank, load us up.

I like that one... but I like the original a lot better.

Just to clarify, I meant I liked NIN's cover of the song "Suck"... I didn't mean his covers suck.
