Post by: modage on June 02, 2003, 08:02:23 PM
did anyone catch a few minutes of this thing?  why are they showing it on AMC?  its not like any of these actors have ever had a movie on the channel.  they should have said...

Wow, an award show that feels even more blatent in advertising something than Michael Jackson getting "artist of the millenium award" last year at the mtv video music awards........well, that maybe was the worst. But anyways, I saw good ol Harrison Ford getting an award (didn't catch the logic behind it but I'm sure it was with reason) and couldn't help but figure how comfty it was him to get this award now considering he has a movie coming out targeted at the younger audience.

And why is this thing on the American Movie Classics channel instead of the WB or something? Even the average person realizes thats not the way to televise such an award show when focusing on the younger crowd. I doubt any 14 year old is clambering to catch another bad John Wayne war film that no doubt will follow this fiasco.
