I'd choose, from what i heard...
The Mars Volta/ De-loused in the Comatorium - i liked a lot what Cedric Dixler said about the record in an interview with Bang Magazine :"Our record is not a great reacord, but its also not a bad record, its just another option " and he said something about the people going to their concerts just to hear the MTV single and then walk out , he said that they only were part of the refrigerator buzz and that the band was aiming for the art-music audicence.
British Sea Power / The Decline of... - Great band . if you like Joy Division this is a more ear-friendly version...
Mew / Frengers - If you've wondered how would Sigur Ros would sound with more speed and electric guitars...
UNKLE / Never, Never, Land - I loved this record. it's amazing how it all worked out after DJ shadow leaved .
ARE WEAPONS/ S.T. - what can i say , it's fun.
there are tons of other great albums (this was a good year) and i'm KNOW i'm forgetting lots of titles , so keep em coming...
