Her previous album was a mix bag for me. I didn't like everything and I wasn't really moved by it. It was good craft. So I was surprised when I heard Lemonade—probably one of the best experience I had with pop culture...

It's a celebration of self and love through pain. Everything I love. And it's an album. One song flows to another. I love Lemonade.

Some glorious bedroom wizard has moulded a house album around the score and vocal samples of Akira. If you're a fan of Akira* this is indispensible. Had it on repeat since i stumbled across it a few hours ago.

Yes yes yes! Life Without Buldings.

Their live album from Annendale is fantastic, the way her voice is sometimes on the brink of laughter and the manic quality of the vocals really come through well.

Especially on NEW TOWN, that I sadly couldn't find the live version of on youtube, so here's a Spotify link to it.

Live version of The Leanover:

i'm (imagining) the one with the nike kicks. small crowd. that's him on his knees in the grass, and if you listen the whole way through that's an entire song. there's what i'd guess is a deliberate Neutral Milk Hotel reference at 3:00-3:09

In retrospect, this might have been Hudson Mowhawke's peak.

How did I only find this song just now

I've seen people posting this around for a while, but I've chosen not to watch it because I assumed it would have heavy chunking metal riffs in the middle somewhere. Glad I was wrong. This is, in fact decent.  Very hard to fuck this song up. Paul Simon is one of the greats. Thanks JB.
