just saw this, I think this was a kickstarter movie by the Flight of the Conchords guys. It was pretty great.

this felt like discovering an incredible forgotten kiwi film from the 80s when people had fun with making movies. So instantly likeable, 80 minutes felt like 20. Made me feel more optimistic about both new comedy and new horror, the genres that made me love film in the first place. Need to check out Flight of the Conchords now finally to fix that oversight.

Best bit was just the general affection for Stu.

i'm only 10 minutes in but they talk at great length about stu and how he's basically just being himself in the movie, and that they love him as much as the characters do in the movie.

i really adore this movie.  there's a kind of lovable innocence i haven't seen in a movie since bottle rocket.

the explanation of vampires' preference for virgins fucking killed me.  i laughed for far too long.
