this one was easy and obvious for me. michelle's performance blows all the other nominees out of the water, really. her scenes of confused and anguished silence were some of the film's most breathtaking moments.

This was the closest call for me: I went back and forth between Williams and Bello.  I eventually went with Bello but I am very happy with Williams winning.  They were both great.

as much as i would kill for michelle williams (please ask me to kill for you), maria bello really exceeded all expectations. she was a revelation so bright that for a moment, had i voted, she would have eclipsed williams from my mind.
