i will admit the parodies actually did diminish the moment in the film unfortunately.
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

SNL casts their hat in the Milkshake parody ring.  Bill Hader drinks the milkshake of all other Plainview impressions.

Of course, leave it to Bill Hader to do the first and only legitimately good Plainview impression.  The "I'VE ABANDONED MY CHILD" bit was perfect.

i don't know if any of you guys are aware of this Brandon Hardesty kid. he does movie re-enactments on youtube and i guess he got a movie role out of it.. anyways, he did TWBB. it's pretty good.

i'm not even sure it was that funny but it was EXCELLENTLY well done.  definitely the best parody/plainview, sorry SNL.
