the guy who said that this mix is like slapping bright-orange lipstick and green eyeshadow on a naturally beautiful girl nailed it.
you're referring to the daft punk remix, right?

This band's insane...they're great!
'The Dark Of The Matinee', seriously one of the best popsongs ever...
Great album, yes. "This Fire" might be my personal favorite (just the most sing-alongable). "Michael" is dead sexy, for anyone of any gender or sexual orientation--it's just hot.

Is that a bad thing or a good thing? (Forgive me.)
I bought the CD today and it is pretty good, but where's Love and Destroy?

On the b-side of "Michael."
I thought this (http://www.chartattack.com/damn/2004/11/1204.cfm) was very amusing (also posted on the Morrissey thread).
I was playing Battletoads & Double Dragon the other day, and there's a song in like the 2nd level that sounds like Take Me Out
WHOAH! I think I totally remember the Double Dragon music sounding like that.
I can kind of hear it playing in my head.
I wish I still had my nintendo
no, it's from Battletoads and Double Dragon on SNES
well, I played that one too, so that may be what I'm remembering.
I still wish I had my Nintendo (or my SNES even)
get an Emu and ROM
that's not the same.
u'd prolly do an ugly chick if she had the same measurements as a hot chick.
I still have my NES and SNES so what-ev-errr
UPDATE: I can't find my SNES
MAN, that Battletoads and Double Dragon song DOES sound like TAKE ME OUT
Today's Best Buy ad features a Limited Edition of the FF CD with 5 new tracks

You could get MAME, then use a USB to hook it up to your PS2, and play it that way.

The follow-up to Franz Ferdinand, the band's debut, will be in stores October 4. Rather than going through the work of choosing a name for the album, they're just reusing the title of the first album, which we suppose was really more of a non-title. And if that's not enough for you already, the second album will bear the same cover art as its predecessor, only with different colors.
Wow, they really are gimmicky. My friends would tell me they just make 80's music for nostalgia and gimmick but I wouldn't listen to them, then this. My friends are right, franz ferdinand sucks.
peter gabriel released 3 self-titled albums...

the cover should be the lead singer eating his own head. he really could if he tried.
Franz Ferdinand renames 'Better' new album
NEW YORK (Billboard) - After initially opting to self-title its second album, Scottish rock band Franz Ferdinand has now opted to call the set "You Could Have It So Much Better ... With Franz Ferdinand."
The album will still be released as planned Oct. 3 internationally and the next day in North America via Domino/Epic. First single "Do You Want To?" will precede the album on Sept. 19.
The original plan was to have only the band's name printed on the new album cover, and to distinguish it from its similarly self-titled predecessor with a different color scheme.
Franz Ferdinand is gearing up for a handful of U.K. festival dates later this month, beginning Aug. 20-21 at the V Festival. A North American tour will begin Sept. 20 in Chicago.

What a crappy song and a crappy video.
I get it... you guys like the eighties. So destined to be a one-hit wonder band.
that song does suck (it's kind of a grower though) but the album is very good. it reminds me of the smiths. i like it!!
::cough:: corporate whore payola band ::cough::
I liked their first album better. This one's not bad, though there's only so much Franz Ferdinand I can take.
Franz Ferdinand will issue a five-track "single" for "The Fallen" on March 27 in the U.K. — meaning staunch Franz fans in the U.S. will need to look for a copy in the imports section of their neighborhood record store. The single will feature the new tracks "Lauren Wells," "Brown Onions," "Jeremy Fraser" and the "Ruined by Justice" remix of "The Fallen."
