i've realized, upon another viewing of Boogie Nights that...

SPOILERS!
when those few guys in the trucks drive away after kicking Marky Mark's ass, and Don Cheadle drives into the donut shop, the 99 Cent store is across the street....perhaps the same 99 Cent store from Punch-Drunk Love?

just thought i'd share my observation
Did I just get cock-blocked by Bob Saget?

We often went to the cinema, the screen would light up and we would tremble, but also, increasingly often, Madeleine and I were disappointed. Lucas should film the final lightsaber duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan in Episode III in front of a .99 Cent Store. ... THAT would be groovy....

And the whole duel could be slow motion, and set to Clementine's Loop.
