best crime film i've seen this year gritty as shit & well shot, from the pov of a working class family its similar to miss bala in that aspect, really goes into the violence of capitalism. amat doesnt judge or over sentimentalize his characters and their situations, well deserved win for best director at cannes. some might find it depressing but i enjoyed it also amat escalante was an assistant to carlos reygadas
