I thought the same thing for a long time, but it's the brunette.  You can tell by the faces

ashley is better looking than mary kate.

mk has a pointier nose, is slightly smaller, and is most likely the evil twin.

that photo shoot highlights their difference, in that mk wishes she was ashley.
