I always get nervous when I start new threads; fear of redirect and lack of interest hangs over my head. Oh well, here goes:
I have always liked Greg Kinnear's supporting roles. He was awesome in 'As Good As It Gets' and 'Nurse Betty.' I just saw a preview for the new Farrelly brothers film 'Stuck on You.' I think it could be very funny, and finally he has the lead role, which he shares with Matt Damon. I think he has a lot more to offer as his career progresses. I just thought he deserves some recognition.
No need to be nervous about new threads!
I agree that Kinnear was dandy in Nurse Betty. Just a great performance.
Liked him in Mystery Men, too...
I like him a lot too. Auto Focus was probably his best and most unlikeable performance of them all.

Completely agreed. I never thought he was anything that special until that film.
I liked him in As Good As It Gets and Nurse Betty. Roles that really made Kinnear's charm shine. Auto Focus was a role that he was born to play and it really proved his range as an actor. Since AF, I've looked forward to his projects.
he looks like William H Macy's cooler brother.

Well, I think Macy is cool enough, but yeah, Kinnear is great. I think his greatest performances were all mentioned: As Good As It Gets, Nurse Betty and Auto Focus (a film I need to see again). Oh, and also agree with Find Your Magali about Mystery Men, an underrated as fuck movie which made me laugh soooooooo much (and talk about Macy beeing cool  )

Yes, I actually think he is quite good-looking. Macy has "character," but Kinnear has charm... :-)
Anyone ever catch him on
Talk Soup years ago? From humble beginnings...
Kinnear's little improv/slip of the tongue of "Thank you" and "You're welcome" in "You've Got Mail" always makes me laugh.
"Thank yur."

Doubly agreed.

I did, though very very few episodes, he was funny, actually I really liked that show although I saw it mostly with Henson as host which was so fucking funny, kind of like Conan, does anybody remembers when Henson made his tribute to SK when he passed away? Anyway, it was a parody of FMJ called Full Metal Intern, it was hilarious, I got it on tape. :-D
Yeah I always though he had to get a leading role and I was happy when I saw the first trailer for this movie with Matt Damon, which by the way looks like its hilarious... I look forward to see it
He was great in Loser.
Yeah he did kick ass in 'Loser'. Actually, I cant think of anything I havent liked him in. He seems to be playing a lot of 'prick' roles to rundown his sweet & fragile 'As Good As It Gets' image though. Which is funny cause he plays both off wonderfully.

yeah I hated how annoying he was... stupid proffesor... he did it very well
Completely forgot he was in the remake of Sabrina. Another really fun performance. He really showed his charm and humor in this movie.

Greg Kinnear, Toni Collette and Steve Carell head cross-country in new Big Beach-financed comedy. Source: FilmStew.com
Oscar nominees Greg Kinnear and Toni Collette will join Steve Carell in the road trip comedy Little Miss Sunshine for directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris. Shooting will begin on June 6 in Los Angeles with Marc Turtletaub, Peter Saraf, Ron Yerxa, Albert Berger and David Friendly producing and Big Beach financing.
The project was purchased as a spec from writer Michael Arndt. The film centers on a family that traverses the country in a VW van in order to get their 8-year-old daughter to a young beauty pageant.
Kinnear, Oscar-nominated for As Good as It Gets, is currently working on Bad News Bears, while Collette, who received her Oscar nod for The Sixth Sense, just finished the Cameron Diaz co-starrer In Her Shoes. Carell currently stars in NBC's The Office and will soon be seen in Judd Apatow's The 40-Year-Old Virgin.
Dayton and Faris made their name as music video and commercial directors. Some of their work includes videos for The Red Hot Chili Poppers and the Smashing Pumpkins.
