Ghostboy

Six months in yet again, for the third time since xixax's inception.

This is the first year that I haven't been able to put together a placeholder list of ten films that might justify consideration at year's end. All I've got are

1. Pan With Us (dir. David Russo)
2. Star Wars: Episode III (dir. George Lucas)
3. Me And You And Everyone We Know (dir. Miranda July)
4. 2046 (dir. Wong Kar Wai)
5. Palindromes (dir. Todd Solondz)

I suppose I could put Yes and The War Of The Worlds up there, but they probably wouldn't last until the end of the year. What a slow six months.

And yes, I know that technically Star Wars shouldn't be up there, but I have to include it for personal reasons, rather than critical.

Batman Begins. Sadly, that's all I have. Nothing else from this year is deserving, that I've seen.

Star Wars makes my list, probably for the same reasons than Ghostboy.

I can mention Batman too... but I doubt that it will be on my final list for the year... its too soon to do this for me

Palindromes and Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill are the only two new flicks I've seen this year, and they were both great.  I've been so busy and preoccupied, though.  Tonight I see Howl's Moving Castle, so that may be a third to consider (although technically it had a Japan 2004 release).

if I need to put an American film on there, then I'll go with Crash.  not very intelligent but the acting really got to me.
