i really would've thought Kiss Kiss Bang Bang could've ATLEAST made it into this category over Crash.   :yabbse-undecided:
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

Especially considering that neither Crash nor Capote are debut features for Paul Haggis (Red Hot, 1993) or Bennett Miller (The Cruise, 1998).

This is the only one I really wanted to see win.

I finally saw this over the weekend and I'm very glad it won over my actual nomination.

Especially considering that neither Crash nor Capote are debut features for Paul Haggis (Red Hot, 1993) or Bennett Miller (The Cruise, 1998).

We went with the ruling that it had to have a theatrical release (Haggis), and was a not a doc (Miller).

Very happy with this turnout.
