OMG

So tonight I was watching Vanilly Sky with a friend of mine who hadn't seen the movie yet. This film has always done something to me, always new things to see and discover, so I thought why not see it again - first time in a year or so..

So guess what, in the openingsequence on times square ( Cruise running , the empty times square ) you see several flashes of popcult references. Guess what the FIRST motherfucker is...

A glossy magazine with MRS FUTURE CRUISE on the cover!!!

I'm sorry to trip out over it, but did anyone else notice it? Especially funny to see this stuff with havin in mind that at the vanilly sky time cruise got into cruz...

Cameron "dominating tom and his lovelife" Crowe :)

dudes I'm sorry, my frame spottin' was 2 months later than this guy...
still, freaky enough I recognized or thought to spot Katie by only seeing like one frame of a magazine cover with a young brunette on it....

Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.
