Donald Cammell's The White of the Eye (1987) on blu-ray from Scream Factory, also available from Arrow UK

A serial killer is on the loose in and around the small community of Globe, Arizona, and housewife Joan White (Cathy Moriarty) gradually comes to suspect that her opera-loving hi-fi engineer husband Paul (David Keith) might know more than he s letting on...

So far so familiar, but in the hands of British visionary Donald Cammell (who wrote and co-directed Performance with Nicolas Roeg), the film becomes a dazzling kaleidoscope of images and ideas, spanning everything from Apache folklore, desert landscapes and stylish murder set-pieces that recall Dario Argento to a painfully vivid dissection of the emotional fissures undermining a modern marriage. It s all set to an equally eclectic score co-written by Pink Floyd s Nick Mason.

Described by the distinguished critic David Thomson as "one of the great secret works in cinema", White of the Eye is one of the most bizarre and unforgettable thrillers ever made.

Sidney Hayers' Burn, Witch, Burn (1962) on blu-ray from Kino

The powers of dark magic rule the night in this chilling masterpiece of supernatural horror as a college campus turns into a nest of evil. Professor Norman Taylor (The Innocents Peter Wyngarde) has been enjoying unusual success at work lately, but could it be due to the magic his wife Tansy (Janet Blair) practices in secret? A natural skeptic, Norman is infuriated upon discovering her methods, but when he destroys her protective spells, a vindictive force puts both of their lives in mortal danger, leading to a final showdown that ranks as one of the most chilling in horror history.

hadn't heard about this before but it is a bummer, from Mondo Macabro:

QuoteBAD NEWS, EVERYBODY
As of now our proposed blu ray release of ALUCARDA is on indefinite hiatus. All usable elements for this film seem to have been lost. While we will never entirely give up the chase on this one – and if you know of any pristine film prints please get in contact here or at our webstore – we are currently at a complete loss. Many apologies to all the fans who have been so anxious for this release. Believe it, we are just as bummed as you. frown emoticon

I for one appreciate how this press release anticipates some people might flip their shit when they hear Alucarda can't make it to blu-ray.  Alucarda was directed by a producer of Fando y Lis and El Topo, Mondo Macabro also released his earlier House of Madness, but Alucarda is better, Alucarda is Dracula backwards with an additional a, and it's a vague adaptation of Sheridan Le Fanu's novella Carmilla, which had been vaguely adapted previously as e.g. Blood and Rose, The Vampire Lovers, Let's Scare Jessica to Death, and people still vaguely adapt it, since it's a supreme badass canonical horror piece that pre-dates and inspired Bram Stoker, and involves lesbians.

[edit]
while eating lasagna and thinking about wanting to read Carmilla I remember I've read it, it was included with Dreyer's Vampyr Criterion release.

Jacques Becker's One Deadly Summer (1983) on blu-ray from Tanelorn Films

Isabelle Adjani stars in this tale of misunderstanding, obsession, and madness. Elaine, a beautiful young women settles into a small town in the south of France with her introverted mother and physically handicapped father.

Traumatized by her knowledge that her mother was raped by three Italian immigrants before she was born, Elaine thinks she's on a trail of vengeance when she's courted by a young garage mechanic (Alain Souchon), whose father, now dead, was an Italian immigrant who owned a mechanical piano, the only clue to the identity of her mother's aggressors. But as the story unfolds in Rashomon-like flashbacks and narrations, the tale becomes increasingly complex and leads inexorably to a stunning conclusion.

Abel Ferrara's Dangerous Game (1993) from Shout Factory

From the director of Bad Lieutenant comes this absorbing look at the dark side of Hollywood. Vividly raw and shocking, Dangerous Game stars two of today's most passionate and controversial performers: Harvey Keitel and Madonna. Although he's an experienced director, nothing can prepare Eddie Israel (Keitel) for what occurs on the set of his new project. Helming a film about an abusive marriage, Eddie gets incredibly real performances from his actors. But more horrifying than the scripted violence is the fact that the brutality begins to seep off the set and into real life. As Eddie becomes more involved with his production and, specifically, his leading lady (Madonna), he too becomes entangled in this terrifying trap — one where the fantasy world of his film becomes his haunting reality.

Quote from: CriterionForum
This film is a favorite of Martin Scorsese's...

It's [...] something like Antonioni making a Western—there's something in the landscapes, the staging, and the long takes that puts me in mind of Story of a Love Affair or L'Avventura.
