Phantom Thread wins out for me, but I do love Inherent Vice a lot, and consider it sadly under-appreciated.

If there are any Xixaxers going to the Boogie Nights screening tonight at the NoHo 7, please teach me the secret hand sign so I can acknowledge you...

[edit]  Man, this may have been my favorite in-the-theater viewing of Boogie Nights as I've ever had.  I've seen the film upwards of 40 times, but only 4 or 5 in a theater with an audience.  Sold-out, very enthusiastic audience.  I had a better time than even the Cinespia cemetery screening last Summer...  (Even won the first trivia prize of the evening.)  Looking forward to the rest of the series...

So, am I the only Angeleno/Xixaxer that's been attending the "Support Your Local P.T.A." at the Laemmle NoHo7 these last three weeks?  (Maybe just the only one gushing about it.) I have to admit, as much as I love these films--and as many times as I've seen them--it definitely adds something to see them on a big screen with an appreciative audience.  Magnolia closes out the series this Thursday (1/25/18).
