This looks like a very different mode for Vinterberg, but he seems to imbue it with his usual intensity. Digital colors can certainly be stunning* (the red of that uniform!). Picturesque as hell but it seems with air enough to breathe.

I loved this book. Seems like a pretty sumptuous adaptation.
