And somewhere I read that Rahad Jackson is based on the drug dealer Eddie Nash.

Nash was definately a character if you read up on him.  So I see the resemblence...if fact it's almost a spitting image.

so what exactly happened with John Holmes?

Holmes Acquitted
Nash is not the only one to have been tried and acquitted of the murder charges. Prolific porn star Holmes was acquitted of the charges, although police said one of his bloody handprints was lifted from a bed where one of the bodies was found.
   
After Holmes died of complications from AIDS in 1988, his wife of 16 years told the Los Angeles Times that he told her that he had helped and witnessed the killings. Sharon Holmes said her husband sat in a bathtub crying less than three weeks after Wonderland and told her he led three men into the Wonderland home where he was splattered with blood as he watched as three people (who he did not name) beat five people, killing two men and two women.
   
Prosecutors charged that Nash ordered the killings, and demanded Holmes' complicity after allegedly learning that Holmes had arranged for the Wonderland victims to rob Nash of two bags of cocaine and $10,000 in cash.
   
The lead investigator on the case for the Los Angeles Police Department was Tom Lange, who took the stand years later when O.J. Simpson was accused of murdering his wife and her friend Ronald Goldman.
   
In 1990, among the witnesses testifying against Nash was Scott Thorson, a former lover of entertainer Liberace. Thorson said that while he was at Nash's home to buy cocaine, he heard Nash screaming that he would get even with whoever robbed him of the cash and drugs at his home.

But I didn't think I was being a dick (and frankly I don't care if you thought that, because all us admins are dicks anyway, right?). I edited it for clairification because I saw that you thought I was bitching about no one going over to the "Wonderland" thread and why these two threads co-exist, when my gripe was about no one read the article that held the answers.
