Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

Um... I voted for Giamatti. But I'm much less disappointed with Murray winning here than I am with Watts losing in female performance...
""Money doesn't come into it. It never has. I do what I do because it's all that I am." - Morrissey

"Lacan stressed more and more in his work the power and organizing principle of the symbolic, understood as the networks, social, cultural, and linguistic, into which a child is born. These precede the birth of a child, which is why Lacan can say that language is there from before the actual moment of birth. It is there in the social structures which are at play in the family and, of course, in the ideals, goals, and histories of the parents. This world of language can hardly be grasped by the newborn and yet it will act on the whole of the child's existence."

NEON MERCURY

hahahahaha....that picture of murray explains his "intensity"   for  his acting in this film.....

sean penn guys......

Kal

couldnt agree more... and voted for him :)

I've explained this many a time. Murray's performance is so much less noticeable because you never fully realize he's even acting. That's what it's all about. Penn's performance was powerful, don't get me wrong. But Murray's had so much subtlety and was more like how a person of his age would behave. Crying and yelling doesn't make a performance great, necessarily.

EDIT: 500th post! When do I get my little tagline thing?

never if you keep crazy posting like this. overposting will not earn you respect, in fact it will make quite unpopular.

Not to mention changing your name to something awful.

Del Toro gave the best performance of the entire cast of "21 Grams" and possibly of his career.
