They're all great dvds!
Typical US Mother: "Remember what the MPAA says; Horrific, Deplorable violence is okay, as long as people don't say any naughty words."

none of the dvds can compete with a mammoth set like LOTR.  the only thing lacking from the set is the theatrical cut.
Christopher Nolan's directive was clear to everyone in the cast and crew: Use CGI only as a last resort.

exactly but the royal effin tenenbaums won last year

Punch-Drunk Love was better.

Chest Rockwell

I felt compelled to vote for LotR just because there's so much bullshit on it. PDL had more interesting stuff on it, though. Like the Scopitones. Those were cool.

modage

i felt compelled to vote for the most well-put together dvd with the best packaging and extras.

BrainSushi

I felt compelled to vote for "Fear and Loathing," because I liked it more than LOTR.

ElPandaRoyal

I felt compelled to go to the dictionary and find out what "compelled" means

"Talking shit about a pretty sunset
Blanketing opinions that i'll probably regret soon"

NEON MERCURY

Kudos to LOTR:TTT EE. It deserved to win, for its 139042 hours of content.

Special honorable mention to Casablanca. That was a legendary film finally treated right on DVD. All sorts of fantastic goodies, right down to Carrotblanca. That and Citizen Kane are among the standard-bearers for how to do special editions of "old" films.
