I've never shared this thought out loud, but to be honest I was scratching my head over his enthusiasm to work with Tiffany Haddish.

On the other hand, we know first-hand he gets career-best performances out of his actors, so maybe I should shut up and go dust my PTA Shrine one more time.

A 90 minute conversation with Dylan Tichenor recorded in 2017 was posted in full this week by the Manhattan Edit Workshop.

(Dammit, where's that +1 when you need it.)   Thanks for this.  I think I've heard excerpts of this before (possibly a different event), so I look forward to listening.

Yeah, you're right. About 30 minutes were excerpted from this conversation for their channel, before - many four-minute project-specific chunks, but the remaining hour was unavailable.

It was a trip hearing Riley try and talk about a film no one had seen yet--except us and Riley.  Heather sounded just like Rollergirl being interviewed in Maggie's tribute video to Dirk.

QuoteThis is the director's cut.  This is the movie I wanted to make.

And I loved how hard everyone was trying to assure everyone this was NOT "Showgirls 2".

I guess this is the more relevant thread, so I'm moving this post here (minus my rambling about wishing there was news about his next film):

PTA interviewed Jordan Peele for the latest issue of Fangoria. Probably an interesting conversation, here are some snippets:

I LOVE listening to creative people I admire talk about how they work.  Did my holiday gift wrapping to this conversation just now.   :yabbse-cool:
