Diablo 3 (a computer game to be released May 15) contains a spell called Rain of Toads:


Rain of Toads
Cause toads to rain from the sky that deal 130% weapon damage as Poison to enemies in the area over 2 seconds.

I doubt this is a Magnolia homage. Probably just biblical/plague-ish... this class also has a locust spell. But this is still pretty funny.

Like I said, it was probably a biblical reference.

I would like to know how many Magnolia fans will play this game, and that class, and use that spell specifically to roleplay their amphibian smiting fantasies. I'm considering it.

Nope. It's actually pretty undemanding. You can even decrease the graphics enough to make it look like a game from 1997.
