i really would've thought Kiss Kiss Bang Bang could've ATLEAST made it into this category over Crash. :yabbse-undecided:

Especially considering that neither
Crash nor
Capote are debut features for Paul Haggis (Red Hot (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114244/), 1993) or Bennett Miller (The Cruise (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0150230/), 1998).
This is the only one I really wanted to see win.
I finally saw this over the weekend and I'm very glad it won over my actual nomination.

We went with the ruling that it had to have a theatrical release (Haggis), and was a not a doc (Miller).
Very happy with this turnout.
yuck...i really didnt like this film.
the crash nomination was laughable...and then comes redemption.
