Did anyone feel the loss of Idle Chatter? I sure as hell did. I mean, if it never cameback, who would post other than Mac and Modernage with updates and people asking for updates?
Idle Chatter is very necessary for message boards. It's a sponge for people to say stupid shit so it dosen't end up elsewhere. Not that it dosen't anyway, but it helps calm it down.

me too, didn't anyone notice how dead this place was without it? it's nice to have shitball conversations between movie releases or what not...I mean, look....the 2 biggest releases so far probably...were Kill Bill and the Matrix. Only thing is everybody goes the first week, talks about it for about a week...and it's spent up. Here it's nice to just bullshit...why everyone's all pussy hurt about it is beyond me. i was starting to be annoyed by the pollution... tried to stem it with the failed randomnimity thread. an explanation/warning that it would be down for a while might have been nice before it was shut down. i realize i'm no admin and i don't call shots-- it just kind of came off as a power trip move more than a cleanup job.
what was the problem with excess threads? was it too much bandwith or server space? were the topics offensive? did mods feel that xixax was being abused? i'd just like to know what made idle chatter so bad that it had to be redone.
then again, it's back. we should probably stop bitching.
