I only posted this here to ask why the L.A. Times has 21 articles on this film in the last 5 days.  Seventeen of them are dated Aug 10, 2018.

What the hell is going on?

Makes me want to boycott the fucking thing just on general principles.
[edit] A bit harsh, perhaps.

[2nd edit] Decided to calm-the-fuck-down and remove the 21 links I had posted here.

Because it's the first major studio movie featuring an all Asian-American cast since the fucking Joy Luck Club. 25 YEARS AGO. That's insane, and it's a big deal until the time comes that it's common enough to not be a big deal.

It's been pointed out to me that the bulk of those articles were written for a cover story/feature that appeared in yesterday's Sunday Calendar print-edition in The Times.

I haven't read the print edition of the Times in decades, so I missed that aspect.   When encountered solely via Twitter/latimes.com...it felt like an awful lot of verbiage for one film.  But I haven't tallied "Black Panther"'s press at the time, so perhaps this is the norm.
