It definitely feels like a dumbed-down version of the story, but taken as its own thing, I have to say it looks a lot better than I might have anticipated.

Looks all wrong. Allll wrong.
Still could be silly fun though, we'll see.
I hope that Matt McC in this movie doesn't end up like Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort, where he seems like the perfect, obvious choice but ends up being a caricature you can't take eriously.

My expectations were subterranian, to be fair, but this honestly looks like as good a big-budget Hollywood version of this story as we were ever going to get. If they had bothered to ask me, I'd have preferred an HBO or Netflix series, but since they didn't, I'll take this and be happy.
