A female character's secret pregnancy is revealed after having to awkwardly refuse an offer of alcohol at a party/restaurant/wedding.  This one's been cropping up a lot lately, it seems.  The good news is that apparently societal awareness of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome has reached critical mass.
